1. Using the formula you outlined, what would be the maximum fee for this scenario and please show the breakdown in your calculation: # of Units = 3 Estimated repairs $850,000 As-Repaired appraisal is $1,999,950 2. Are these pretty much the standard pricing conventions across the country; i.e. no regional differences in approach?

    1) $2050 would be the acceptable fee for such a property (UPDATED 7/24/2009). The consultant would also be okay to include mileage charges from their office to the job site. The draw inspections would be in addition to the consulting fees. Each draw would be the draw fee plus $25 for the second and third unit inspections. If you know there isn't any work in the other two units, don't have the inspector look at them. 2) This is right off the FHA 203k guidelines so it would be standard across the country.
